#BodyLove Finale - Makeup and Racing

I embraced lower mileage this week, and I must admit it felt GREAT. I am running the MEC Toronto 5km on Saturday, and I am gunning for that elusive 5km PR. Coach recommended I lower my mileage and really focus on my upcoming race. My fingers are crossed that the route is fairly flat. And I am going to push hard with the hope of getting as close to 25 minutes as possible.

I have been combating tummy issues the last few weeks, but I have been training hard. So I am hoping the results I got on Saturday will reflect all of the work I have been doing. Time will tell!

Those tummy troubles have also meant that I have trying to clean up my diet and take care of myself as much as possible. So one of the other areas I have been looking at lately is cleaning up the other products we use in our life and in our home. That has meant really looking at what is in our cleaning supplies, my makeup, skin care products, shampoo, everything. My husband and I have been looking at trying to incorporate new products into our life that alleviate our exposure to some of the unnecessary chemicals and toxins that are present in so many of our household items.

I met Sarah the creator of Urban Minerals, and immediately fell in love with the line and all that it stands for. It uses natural (uses both natural and organic ingredients), locally sourced, and sustainable mineral makeup line inspired by the beautiful multicultural skin tones represented in Toronto.

Admittedly most of the time I am sans makeup, sweating, and generally looking a hot mess. But on rare occasions I do put on "real" clothes and do my makeup. So I love the idea of supporting a line like this. It is good for your body, good for the environment, and it is a handmade local line. You can't go wrong! If you are looking to make some changes I definitely recommend checking out Urban Minerals. It feels light and fresh, and it represents so many beautiful skin tones that you are sure to find your perfect match.

This is the last day of our #BodyLOVE summer challenge and I have absolutely loved getting to watch all of your progress and follow along during your personal journeys this month. I took the sticky note off my scale today, and weighed myself for the first time in over a month. I was down 3 lbs after 30 days of #BodyLOVE. How are you all feeling? Notice any changes? Thoughts on your relationship with the scale? I hope you all had as much fun as I did. And that you are feeling the LOVE this month!

On that note... CONGRATS KAT your tweet was randomly selected as this week's #BodyLOVE winner!
Please email me so we can organize the size and shipment of your Wave Sayonaras.

Have a Fantastic Weekend Friends!
